Willie Basse Comments On COMMUNION

COMMUNION is a new band made up of seasoned and professional rock stars who have come together to share in the purpose of mass participation in life. The band is made up of the following members:

Mark Boals (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TED NUGENT) - vocals
Roy Z (JUDAS PRIEST, HALFORD, BRUCE DICKINSON) - guitars
Bobby Rondinelli (RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH) - drums
Edward Roth (Halford, GLENN HUGHES) - keyboards
Willie Basse (BLACK SHEEP) - bass

Commented Willie Basse on the formation of the band "This is the easiest project I've ever put together. It's funny you ask about what it's like to work with these guys. Because I've been talking to everyone except Mark for years about doing a project, but we never really had time.

When I met Mark Boals a couple of weeks ago, we connected on a very grounded humanistic level. We talked about The Universe, Giving, Blessings and of course bass guitar. We decided we'd work together, I thought collaboration, but my long-time Publicist, Laura Kaufman passed away last Thursday! Laura is known for her work with Aerosmith, Uncle Ted NUGENT, Scorpions & Iron Maiden.
When I notified Bobby Rondinelli
(cause Laura introduced us) his reply was, "That Sucks!"

I knew then, we had to do something, a project without ego, that means something important. Bobby & I talked more. I wanted Ritchie Blackmore, But when I talked to Mark, he wanted Roy Z. I almost had Roy Z on my last Feed America-Now! Tour.

I had already asked Edward Roth to play a corporate gig with me in April, then I found out these guys (Roy Z, Edward Roth & Mark Boals) have been working on each other's solo albums! Roy Z and Edward Roth also play with Rob Halford in "Halford"
