Lymphoma won't stop Iommi and Sabbath from playing Donnington

Black Sabbath (2011) While there is still no official word about whether Black Sabbath will be able to carry out the band's world tour on account of guitarist Tony Iommi's diagnosis with an unnamed subtype of lymphoma earlier this month, they appear to be keeping at least one upcoming concert date.

According to the organizer of one of the largest annual UK concerts, the Download Festival, Black Sabbath will be headlining as per the original billing. Said Andy Copping:

"As far as I'm aware everything is fine. I've been told that Black Sabbath are going to be playing Download. I don't want people to worry unduly about that, we should all just send our thoughts and best wishes to Tony Iommi."

The Download Festival takes place in mid-June at Donington Park. Headliners include Black Sabbath, The Prodigy and Metallica.
