Convicted Murderer Claims He Was In A Cult Started By Zakk Wylde


Black Label Society According to the ArgusLeader, a South Dakota man confessed to slashing the throat of a 75-year-old hospice nurse. Once police caught up with him, as he was driving to kill President Obama in D.C., he told them he was part of the Black Label Society cult started by Zakk Wylde.

James McVay, 41, was charged with first-degree murder and burglary after slashing the throat of his victim. McVay killed her less than 2 days following his release from a prison half-way house.

According to MacVay, as he sat in prison, high on cough syrup, he began to fixate on an assassination plan and cited Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh as inspirations. He also said he became involved with a cult called the "Black Label Society," which he claimed to be founded by metal singer Zakk Wylde, who fronts a band of the same name.

"Within 36 hours of my arrival at Unit C once again, I was thoroughly intoxicated on dextromethorphan, and had literally pledged my allegiance to Lucifer as I sat under the bridge by Sertoma Park listening to Zak Wild (sic) … waiting for my instructions from on high," McVay wrote.

Zakk Wylde stated via twitter that "Black Label Society is a Rock Band — no further comment."
