Indonesian Police Shave Mohawks Off Concertgoers

You think cops in the U.S. are assholes? In Indonesia yesterday, the police raided a rock concert and detained nearly 70 fans. They removed their body piercings, confiscated spiked dog collars and chains, then shaved off their mohawks because of the threat they cause to Islamic values. If that wasn't enough, the police chief made each person remove their offensive t-shirts and gave them a toothbrush and told them to "use it!"

The crackdown is the latest attempt by the growing Muslim population to instill strict moral values.

Though pierced and tattooed teens have complained for months about harassment, Saturday's siege at the concert attended by more than 100 people was by far the biggest and most outlandish bust yet.

Baton-wielding police scattered fans, many of whom had travelled from other parts of the nation to attend the show.

Several other fans were detained and sent to a 10-day rehab where they will be force-fed religion before being sent home.

The local police chief stated "We're not torturing anyone, we're not violating human rights. We're just trying to put them back on the right moral path."
