This Is Never A Good Sign
For the last couple weeks, we have been covering the apparent decline of San Antonio, TX metal scene. I just want to clarify that I use the term 'metal scene' lightly as I have found out there are many great bands, passionate fans and promoters still in the River City. With our ongoing coverage of the demise of the Rites of Darkness festival, scheduled to still take place this weekend, we were shocked to see the following post on the promoter's Facebook page. Rites Of Darkness, the same festival that claims to have been unable to pay already booked bands agreed upon money, is now asking fans for money to secure new bands. In the post, festival organizer Danny states "At the moment, due to gracious contributions from fans, we are close to securing ZEMIAL to come to the US but we are not there yet. Anyone willing to provide $100 or anything to their flights, will be compensated immediately after the show."
With Paypal recently releasing the funds Danny claimed they held onto preventing him from paying bands, why can't he use those funds to pay for Zemial's flight?
