Fred Durst Comments on Guns N' Roses NY Show
Fred Durst posted the following message to his fan:
"First, Borland's Replacement has gotten some serious feedback from you. I certainly hope he appreciates most of the kind words you have given him. It is amazingly revealing to see your reactions to this subject. I read every single thing that is posted and when it's honest and reall I always take it to heart. Looks like he is in the running here. Soon i will start our own search for Borland's replacement right here on myspace. I just received a package with video footage from Morley. If there is something worth seeing i will put it up on the site for you to see as well. I will also do this for any other musicians who we feel could be a possibility. This is a very serious thing for us and we want you to be a part of the whole process. We can have our own search right here on myspace. It will be about everything that matters to you and us when it comes to guitar players. We will post all of it here without any filters or restrictions. Coming to you raw from myspce, let the search begin.
Second, Sunday night me and my brother Cory went to New York and saw Axel Rose at eh Hammerstein Ballroom. My brother had never met Lenny Kravits before so we watched the show with him. My bro was stoked because we used to rock Lenny's first album Let Love Rule all the time back in the day. After the show we went to Axel's after party at Bungalow 8. It was a fantastic night. We were hanging with Axel, Lenny, and Sebastian Bach from Skid Row until 4:30am. I have to admit it was a CLASSIC for the memory bank. Sebastian was so fucking cool. He was with his son who is aslo a bad ass drummer in a band right here on myspace. I told him I would mention it to you guys and maybe he would get some traffic passing through to check out his band. If you want to hear some metal from him then go to myspace.com/severedhand. Let him know what you think if you have the time. We took some classic pics that night and I will post a few shortly. Anyway, what a fucking night. I was definitely hurting on the train back to Providence yesterday. I am rested and back in business today.
We are excited to finish up TUT2 when i wrap this film. I am working on it in between making this movie as well. I love being busy. My grandfather used to say "If you want something done then give it to a busy guy". I finally understand what he meant. He was right. God rest his soul.
We are stoked you like the unreleased songs. I promise there are so many more andI will continue to leak them out to you as the days roll on by. Take When It Rains and spread that thing like a wildfire. People are starting to listen to you. You have a powerful voice. You always have. We are family. Family is forever."
