THE DEFILED Release New Music Video

THE DEFILED have posted their new video ahead of their upcoming UK tour. 'Black Death' was filmed in Shropshire, directed by Tiernan Hanby, who also directed the band's previous 'Call To Arms Video' and explains:

"The video takes its narrative from one of the darkest and most gruesome moments of history and lays it down over the band's brooding gothic imagery. Its great working with a band who know how far they want to take the imagery and give the opportunity to go to those dark places with them".

Keyboardist The AvD shares his thoughts:

“This is The Defiled's third video and we wanted to do something different than just rock out in front of a camera. So, Tiernan invited me and Stitch to Shropshire to get dressed up in plague doctors outfits and go around his quaint home town condemning people to death. This is the second time we have worked with Tiernan and his team and it felt more like a school trip then a day at the office.”

This time round, the band roped in some help from the some of the best in the business with costumes courtesy of controversial British designer Rachel Freire, who recently made headlines with her dress made of 3000 cow and yak nipples, and has previously clothed the likes of Courtney Love and Beth Ditto, and make up by Tristan Versluis, who took time away from working on the soon to be released new Batman movie and who’s previous work includes the Sweeney Todd and Harry Potter films.

The AvD continues: “It was a wonderful mess and the guys were so good and patient with us… there was puking in masks, blackouts… come to think of it , thank god for the masks. You can't see our confused faces under them! It was an amazing experience for us and an honour to work with such a cool but professional team!”
