NEGURA BUNGET To Tour North America

At long last, legendary Romanian black metal band NEGURA BUNGET will be touring North America next year! Dubbed the "Transilvanian Legacy Tour 2012," the tour will begin on April 21st in Montreal and culminate in an appearance at Maryland Deathfest on May 25. Between there, NEGURA BUNGET will play from coast to coast, and will also perform a handful of dates in Canada. Accompanying NEGURA BUNGET on the tour will be Eclipse Eternal, Wolven Ancestry, and The Way of Purity, with sponsorship provided by Terrorizer, Metal Maniacs, BWBK, Archaic North, and Beyond the Dark Horizon. Founding drummer Negru had the following to say about the imminent North American tour: "We are happy and proud to finally announce our North American tour plans for 2012. It has been a long time since we've been planning this, and we'll do our best to create out of this an overwhelming spiritual experience both for us and the audience attending the concerts."

Formed in 1995 in Timişoara, Romania, NEGURA BUNGET have studiously explored the more mystical, spiritual ends of the black metal spectrum as well as their own vast cultural heritage. What's resulted is one of the most unique sounds in black metal during the past 15 years, NEGURA BUNGET solidifying their immediately identifiable stamp across six albums and nearly as many EPs. Critical acclaim reached a fever pitch last year with the dual release of Măiestrit (released by PROPHECY PRODUCTIONS) and Vîrstele Pămîntului. A new NEGURA BUNGET full-length for PROPHECY PRODUCTIONS is in the works.
