METALACHI To Play Halloween Show

Metalachi – The World’s First And Only Heavy Metal Mariachi Band kicks off Halloween with their second annual Halloween Bash at Skinny's Lounge.

Metalachi, the World’s First and Only Heavy Metal Mariachi Band
performs Tuesday Oct 25th at 11pm at Skinny's Lounge in North Hollywood.
This annual event is geared to kick-off the Halloween season with an amazing
night of Halloween themed entertainment such as giveaways by Coffin Case and
Halloween themed sets by all 4 bands on the nights bill, including the entire
album "THE WALL" by Pink Floyd performed live on stage and synced to Disney's
classic film "ALICE IN WONDERLAND" by local band Northern Strangers.


Metalachi is a music/comedy stage show that seamlessly blends the worlds
of Spinal Tap and Cheech & Chong into an all-out stage spectacle for the
eyes and ears. Metalachi has been performing to sell out crowds in Los
Angeles for just over a year, and have already built a devoted and diverse
fan base comprised of metalheads, hipsters, fashionplates, lowriders,
artwalkers, loft-dwellers, and street urchins alike

Metalachi has garnished much critical acclaim in their short history, including
various radio and television appearances throughout California and abroad,
performing as the invited musical guests at internationally renowned artist Shepard
Fairy’s March 12 Private Art Show where the group entertained the likes of Billy Idol,
Dave Navarro and Owen Wilson as well as the closing night performance for the
2011 Sunset Strip Music Festival.

The group is a 5-piece ensemble of classically trained mariachi
musician brothers, that have been fused together with the power of
hard rock. Taking their cues from outrageous stageshows like KISS,
Gwar and Rob Zombie, Metalachi has outrageous costumes, personas and
onstage antics. The band features Vega De La Rockha on vocals,
Maximilian “Dirty” Sanchez on violin, Poncho Rockafeller on guitarron,
Ramon Holiday on guitar, El Cucuy on trumpet and is managed by
mysterious impresario Warren Moscow.

Fans can expect an amazing mix of metal classics and mashups/medleys
including Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law”, Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A
Prayer” and an amazing mashup of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets/
Nothing Else Matters/Scorpions -Winds Of Change” as well as a surprise
Halloween themed set list...all played with traditional mariachi instrumentation.

Doors open at 8pm, Metalachi will be supported by local acts Raging Peanuts,
Northern Strangers and Band of Bigfoot. The night is sponsored in part by
Coffin Case (www.coffincase.com) Metalachi takes the stage at 11 pm, tickets
