IRON MAIDEN's Bruce Dickinson Receives Honorary Music Degree
International rock star, IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson, has received an Honorary Doctorate of Music from Queen Mary, University of London. The ceremony took place as part of the Summer Graduations on Tuesday, July 19.
Dickinson received a degree in History from the same college in 1979. According to Wikipedia, his parents wanted him in the army, but he told them that he wanted to get a degree first. "That was what they wanted to hear so that was my cover story. When I got down there I started immediately finding and playing in bands."
