AFTER The BURIAL Video Shelved Due To Wild Catholic Girls
The Minnesota-based quintet AFTER THE BURIAL have finally broken the silence in regards to the status of their new promotional video for the track, “Pendulum,” which hails off their highly acclaimed new album, In Dreams. The aforementioned video was shot last December, but has since been held up due to legal issues beyond their control.
The general concept of the video was to have the band invade an all girls Catholic school and give them all the opportunity to have some uninhibited fun. Throughout their performance in the school's gym the director and other various crew members encouraged the girls to let loose and go wild to accompany the chorus of the song where the band yells “we lose control.” Well, apparently some girls took everything a little too far by grinding on each other, in addition to displaying other inappropriate lewd conduct, creating an environment that got the conservative Catholic chaperones on the set into a frenzy. The director's production company was since hit with a cease and desist notice essentially delaying the release of this video.
In the meantime, you can check out stills from the shoot now exclusively at www.facebook.com/aftertheburial and hopefully the video will eventually get released.
AFTER THE BURIAL will be performing at Bamboozle in NJ this Sunday and will head directly from there to meet with the acclaimed director Scott Hansen (Alesana, Animals As Leaders) to shoot a new video for the track “Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You.” Look for them on tour throughout May with Norma Jean, Motionless In White, For The Fallen Dreams and Stray From The Path.
An uninhibited eight-stringed dual barrage of frenetic riffs and dynamic chord progression is exactly what the crushing new AFTER THE BURIAL delivers with pinpoint precision. In Dreams is quickly going to raise the bar for all others within the metal genre as this group effectively unleashes a frenzy of jaw-dropping dual guitar dynamics that is backed by a captivating energy and groove resulting in an overall unrelenting output of punishment.
