Tina Guo Releases Queen Bee Single

Lotus Rising Tina Guo and Lotus Rising have set a March 13 iTunes release date for their instrumental single, "Queen Bee".

The song, which features Guo's incredible shredding on the electric cello, has never having been previously available for download, however the video for the track already has well over 114,000 views on youtube and won "Best Music Video" at the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival.

At the age of 25, Tina Guo has already developed a fascinating international multi-faceted performing career as a solo classical cellist, rock/metal/fusion electric cellist, and acclaimed recording artist known for her distinctive sound and improvisatory style in major motion picture and television scores. Her solo credits include the Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man 2, Red Riding Hood, The Hangover 2, CSI:NY, and Iron Chef. Tina also replaced Bill Corgan's guitar riffs on Courtney Love's song "Samantha" with cello, and Hole frontwoman said in an interview about the song: "The cello that you hear is a really hot Chinese girl with an amazing rack and insanely good hair who is a heavy metal goddess on cello, Tina Guo."

Lotus Rising was formed when Tina met Frontman Matt "The Lord" Zane of Society 1; and together now with Drummer Preston Nash of Dope and Primer 55, and Guitar Virtuoso Ariel Mann, they are finishing their 8-song EP and shooting a music video for their single this spring. The EP will also feature two cello-shred instrumental tracks, one of which is "Queen Bee." Lotus Rising is taking the core elements of dichotomous genres into the birth of a dark, lush, progressive, harmonically complex yet melodically driven hybrid between Romantic Gothic European Art Music and Industrial Metal.
