Black Tide to support Iron Maiden

Black Tide Black Tide has been added as support for the only two announced U.S. dates of Iron Maiden’s Final Frontier World Tour. They will take the stage in their home state of Florida for two nights – April 16th at Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise and April 17th at St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. Tickets for both dates are on sale now at the box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.com.

Black Tide first came on the scene in 2003 but really began to command notice after their 2008 release Light From Above through Interscope Records. Garnering instant acclaim, Light From Above sent a "shockwave" of its own through the scene. Rolling Stone named Black Tide one of the “Best Rookies of 2008” and “Metal’s New Teen Titans,” Spin tapped them as one of the “Next Big Things,” while Revolver featured them as a “Band To Watch” and included them on the cover of the August 2008 Mayhem issue, and Kerrang! proclaimed them “Best International Newcomer.”
The band followed its release with an appearance on the inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival alongside Slipknot and Disturbed, performed on the main stage of Download 2008 and capped it off by playing the entire ‘09 Van’s Warped Tour. Along the way Black Tide has toured with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, Escape The Fate and All that Remain to name a few. They spent the summer of 2010 writing and recording for their sophomore release due out on Interscope Records in spring of 2011.
