Metalachi to perform at Paladino's
Metalachi, the world’s first and only heavy metal mariachi band performs Friday February 4th at 10:00pm at Paladino's Nightclub in Tarzana (www.metalachi.com). Metalachi is a music/comedy stage show that seamlessly blends the worlds of Steel Panther, Lucha Va Voom and Cheech and Chong and is being called "the most quintessentially L.A. band of all time...Sunset Strip meets East L.A. Metalachi has been performing in Los Angeles for just over a year, and have already built a devoted and diverse fan base comprised of metalheads, hipsters, lowriders, artwalkers, loft-dwellers, and street urchins alike.
The group is a 5-piece ensemble of classically trained mariachi musician brothers, that have been fused together with the power of hard rock. Taking their cues from outrageous stageshows like KISS, Gwar and Rob Zombie, Metalachi has outrageous costumes, personas and onstage antics. The band features Vega De La Rockha on vocals, Maximilian “Dirty” Sanchez on violin, Poncho Rockafeller on guitarron, Ramon Holiday on guitar, El Cucuy on trumpet and is managed by mysterious impresario Warren Moscow.
Fans can expect an amazing mix of metal classics and mashups/medleys including Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law”, Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” and an amazing mashup of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets/Nothing Else Matters/Scorpions -Winds Of Change”. Metalach is sponsored by 901 Tequila (Justin Timberlake’s tequila company), so you can be sure that audience and band alike will be well lubricated and primed for a mighty all night rock and roll party.
Doors open at 7pm and Metalachi takes the stage at 10pm, cover charge is $10.00 and the venue is 21+ with ID. Paladino's is located at 6101 Reseda Boulevard, Tarzana CA 91335-7310.
