The Crimson Armada sign with Artery Recordings

The Crimson Armada has inked a deal with Artery Recordings, the joint venture between The Artery Foundation and Razor & Tie. The Columbus outfit is the eighth addition to the Artery Recordings family.

The Crimson Armada will hit the studio this spring with producer Brian Hood (A Plea For Purging, Hope for the Dying) to record the follow up to 2009's Guardians. Their 2011 Artery Recordings debut, Conviction, will be released this summer and the band will hit the road on a national tour soon after.

"Artery is a strong name in this industry," said vocalist Saud Ahmed. Anticipating the bright future of the band, Ahmed adds, "We are excited to finally have people behind us who believe in what we stand for and are ready to back us and help us become the band we are meant to be. We are happy to call Artery our home."

Artery Recordings is the label home to The Artery Foundation and an imprint of the leading independent label Razor & Tie. The Artery Recordings roster includes Chelsea Grin, Bury Tomorrow, Attila, I Declare War, A Bullet For Pretty Boy, Vanna, and Close To Home. A management company since 2004, The Artery Foundation has a knack for finding diamonds in the rough and nurturing them into worldwide prominence. Some of their recent artists flooding the Billboard charts have included Top 40 releases with The Devil Wears Prada and Attack Attack!, Top 100 releases with Alesana and Breath Carolina and additional artists such as Asking Alexandria, Jonny Craig and Dance Gavin Dance.

New York-based Razor & Tie Entertainment is one of the fastest growing independent entertainment companies in the United States and is the parent company of Kidz Bop, LLC. Razor & Tie is a vertically-integrated company that encompasses a record company with major label distribution, a home video company, a media buying company, and a music publishing company. In its 20 years, the label has garnered both Platinum sales and Grammy awards, and continues to expand a diverse and acclaimed roster that includes such artists as Richard Ashcroft, Nicole Atkins, Angelique Kidjo, Dave Barnes, All That Remains, Norma Jean, Dweezil Zappa, Dar Williams, Chelsea Grin and The Summer Set.
