End of Year Recap - Floor Jansen of REVAMP

With the year coming to a close, The Gauntlet has contacted some of our favorite bands to recap their year and let us know whats in store for 2011. Floor Jansen from REVAMP has checked in.

Did you have any ‘Spinal Tap’ moments this year?
Floor Jansen of REVAMP: No black albums signed with black markers....no panic runs in search for the stage... no weird stage attributes that just didn't fit... no manager to lie to me... hmm. We had 1 show where we came in so late, the moment the show should have started had already passed. The guys emptied the truck in no time and build up our gear. I ran into the dressing room for my stage outfit and some make-up and 10 or 15 minutes later, we were playing our first song. Pfff!

What were some of your favorite releases from 2010?
Floor Jansen of REVAMP: The new Alter Bridge album (AB III) and the new Soilwork (The Panic Broadcast)

New Year’s resolution?
Floor Jansen of REVAMP: Make ReVamp number 2 for others!

Most memorable metal news item of 2010?
Floor Jansen of REVAMP: This year we lost a lot of great musicians. We had several memorable moments, sad ones... :-(

Plans for the holidays?
Floor Jansen of REVAMP: I'm gonna go cliché this year and I look forward to it :-) Stay home with friends and family, put up a tree and don't go out except for walks through the snow if it's white outside.

What’s on your iPod?
Floor Jansen of REVAMP: My 2 new favourite albums....but also Nine Inch Nails, Pantera, Placebo, Damien Rice, Epica, Depeche Mode, Skunk Anansie, and Dimmu Borgir.

If you could bring back one musician from the grave for a day, who and why?
Floor Jansen of REVAMP: Freddy Mercury. To hear him sing, to see him sing in real time, in real life. To find out what kind of guy he is/was. That would be amazing!
