Members of Slipknot should really start talking to each other
A day after Joey Jordison stated that Slipknot are back and working on new material, frontman Corey Taylor took to twitter to alert the world that he has no plans on returning for another album. Taylor stated "Before anyone gets the wrong idea, let me be clear. I have NO PLANS to make a new Slipknot album any time soon. Shows? Maybe. Album? No." Corey went on to say "As for Joey’s comments, he took that on himself to say that in print. I can think of 5 people in this band who haven’t written/heard a thing"
So there you have it, Slipknot may or may not continue with Corey Taylor for another album. I guess this is why bands have publicists who generally keep bands from jumping the gun with confusing info.
