Moonspell announces acoustic tour
Portuguese gothic metal act Moonspell has announced the acoustic "Shadow" tour, which starts of on October 30th to celebrate Halloween. The band issued the following announcement about the shows:
"Moonspell begins the acoustic tour 'Shadow' on 30 and 31 October at Cinema São Jorge (Lisbon).The band will feature acoustic versions and semi-acoustic flagship of its themes. This show is also aimed at an audience open to new sounds and approaches. Keeping the old tradition, and the pair of acoustic concerts, Moonspell are pleased to invite all families to spend a weekend Halloween together.
"The band will present a set of thematic activities on this holiday. The smaller ones are not forgotten with a stand of face paintings at your disposal (on which they can paint with vampires, Frankenstein, Alice in Wonderland, fantastic animals, fairies) as well as a workshop to learn how to make the traditional pumpkins. Lobo The group will join the event, with educational efforts.
"Activities for children start at 15h and 19h to close at 30 and 31 and the entries for these afternoons are free. Evening concerts start at 22:00 and tickets cost € 22.50. Between Light and Dark comes this 'shadow' that emphasizes the richness of melodic Metal style capable of embracing influences such as the gothic, ethnic and electronic reduction and demystify the idea that many have of the genre.
"Moonspell will be monitored throughout the tour by a female chorus and the Crystal Mountain Singers Opus Diabolicum, a quintet composed of four cellists and a percussionist. This project, which began as a tribute to this classic instrument Moonspell playing some of his most striking themes, also provide the first part of the show. After the presentations at Cinema São Jorge, the show 'Shadow' will be released in exclusive tour around the country from October to December."
