1349 Kick Off US Tour Next Week
Norwegian black metal monsters, 1349, kick off their second US tour for the album, "Demonoir," next Wednesday, October 6th. The "Weltenbrand World Tour" sees the band co-headlining with the band's good friend and producer, Tom Warrior's TRIPTYKON. Chicago's YAKUZA are appearing, as well.
The band supported CANNIBAL CORPSE in North America earlier this year, but missed several dates due to visa issues and a volcanic eruption in Iceland. The band have their visas in hand and, barring another massive natural disaster, will be here for the first show!
The band commented: "Up here in our home country of Norway, there is a cold sting in the autumnal air...and - to quote Darkthrone's 'Watchtower' - a whiff of the Macabre. Indeed. This is the autumn where we get to realize a truly black and gloomy project; to do a co-headliner tour with Triptykon and hence unite two of the darkest forces in the world of metal music. In 1349 we have started to prepare for this fantastic event by doing some shows in Norway (hails go out to the maniacs that came out to support us in Kristiansand/Southern Discomfort and in Jevnaker!) and by rehearsing some new songs we want to throw into the live-set. The energy we manage to summon is absolutely Hellish these days; it smells of scorched engine oil and burnt souls by the time we're done with our rehearsals.
"1349 is returning to North America! Come, come to the Sabbat.
