Mongrel streaming new EP online

Mongrel Mongrel has released their new EP "The New Breed of Old School" featuring 6 songs from their debut full length album "Fear, Lies, & Propaganda" (Screaming Ferret Wreckords / Locomotive Records), re-recorded with the band's new line-up consisting of Jessica Sierra (vocals), Adam Savage (guitar), Rev (bass), and Dave Kazukiewicz (drums).

Band founder Savage stated, "After 6 years of male singers, it was quickly decided that with the addition of our new (female) singer Jessica, it was going to be important to re-introduce the band and the songs to the fans in order to let them hear for themselves what made her the clear choice to take singer job for Mongrel. By picking songs that have essentially been fan favorites from the old album, it really allows both the long term fans as well as new people to appreciate just what Jessica and our new drummer Dave bring to the table and why we feel this is the strongest line-up the band has had to date."

"The New Breed of Old School" EP was recorded at White Sight & Sound and engineered and mixed by Jim Foster (Nullset, Graveyard BBQ, Damone, POD) September 6-7th, 2010 and was released under the band's Immolation Records banner as the band has chosen to remain independent thus far since their mutually agreed upon split with former label Screaming Ferret Wreckords last Fall with the release of the "Revenge" EP which garnered airplay on Sirius/XM, Music Choice, as well as multiple radio and online outlets both in the US and overseas.

Mongrel will be re-entering the studio with Jim Foster in October to begin recording their next full length album, slated for an early Spring 2011 release.

"The New Breed of Old School" is now streaming on the band's MySpace and is available for streaming, downloads or physical cd purchases on their bandcamp page.
