Cradle of Filth reveal new album title
CRADLE OF FILTH have revealed that their new album will be titled Darkly Darkly Venus Aversa. On November 9th, in North America, the latest chapter of Cradle Of Filth's dark history will be released through Nuclear Blast USA.
Frederick Jude, Managing Director of Peaceville Records (who will release the album on October 22nd in Europe), comments on this upcoming cooperative effort: "Football aside, we're pleased to be teaming up with Nuclear Blast on this very important release. Given their resources, interest in the band, and track record in the US, we believe Cradle Of Filth will be best positioned to better the sales of their last album in North America."
Back in July vocalist Dani Filth, guitarists Paul Allender and James McIlroy, bassist David Pybus, drummer Martin Skaroupka and keyboard player Ashley Ellyllon entered Monkey Puzzle Studios near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, England to begin work on the follow-up to 2008's Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder.
Loyal stalwarts to the satanic horror ethos, Cradle Of Filth will release another concept album, this time based on Adam's first wife, the lascivious demoness Lilith.
Throwing medieval nuns, Knights Templars, Greek mythology, lashings of sex, occult lore, and violent bloodshed together into a creative milieu, the band are poised to create a darkly erotic nightmare set to their unique scope of supreme vampyric metal.
Further updates to follow.
Cradle Of Filth recently added a show in Bogotá, Colombia to their upcoming South American tour. They will play the Teatro Metropol on December 12th.
