Kryptos announce European tour dates

Old school melodic metal/thrash outfit Kryptos from Bangalore, India have announced dates for their upcoming European tour. This will be the first ever cross country tour by any metal band from India and will hopefully pave the way for more Indian metal acts to tour outside their own country.

The tour begins on July 8th 2010 at the Rockmaraton Festival in Pecs, Hungary and then continues onward through Germany and Switzerland with Brazilian thrashers Torture Squad.

The full schedule of dates is as follows

July 8th - Rockmaraton Festival. Pecs, Hungary

July 14th - Nachtleben. Frankfurt, Germany (w/Torture Squad)

July 16th - Pitch Black. Neiderkruchten, Germany (w/Torture Squad)

July 17th - Die Rohre. Stuttgart, Germany (w/Torture Squad, Requiem, Casket and more)

July 23rd - Rocktown. Pfaffikon, Switzerland (w/Torture Squad)

Kryptos have long been considered one of the pioneers of the Indian metal scene. Formed in 1998 and currently signed to Old School Metal Records from California, the band has released two albums, Spiral Ascent in 2004 and The Ark of Gemini in 2008. A third album is scheduled for December 2010 and a first ever live DVD is also in the works.

Hugely influenced by legendary acts like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Kreator and Candlemass, Kryptos keeps alive the tradition of the glory days of metal by merging these influences while still managing to craft a sound that is all their own.
