Balfor guitarist forced to step down

Ukrainian black metallers BALFOR, who recently signed to Pulverised Records, issued a statement announcing guitarist Agnarr's unexpected departure. Agnarr was forced to quit the band following a recent injury that's said to be serious enough to stop the guitarist from performing in the studio or live. No further info on the injury was given. Comments BALFOR founding frontman Thorgeir: "We are very sorry that this has happened to Agnarr. It's a terrible thing when a musician is no longer able to play, and he is one of those musicians with a natural talent and a lot of experience. We hope that he'll be able to overcome the effects of the injury and eventually return to playing. BALFOR is certainly going to miss both his musicianship and his companionship.”

Dragon-T, former guitarist of thrash metal band Hell:On, will replace Agnarr. "Once again we've been lucky in our search for a guitarist,” Thorgeir notes. "Dragon-T is as skilled as Agnarr, both live and when it comes to recording, and the fact that he was available just when we needed him was a stroke of good fortune for us.” Dragon-T's first live appearance with BALFOR was at the Metal Heads Mission Festival in Kiev this weekend where BALFOR headlined. Upcoming live dates for BALFOR include:

5/22/2010 Hot Jam Club - Lugansk, UA
5/23/2010 Vorovskogo Club - Dimitroy, UA
7/6/2010 Rockmaraton Festival - Pecs, HU

BALFOR will release their debut full-length, Barbaric Blood, later this year. Further info TBA.
