NEURAXIS To Enter Studio In June, Name Producer
Montreal-based death metallers NEURAXIS have confirmed producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Last Felony, The Agonist) to record and mix their new album. NEURAXIS will enter Wildsound Studio on June 3rd to begin the recordingfor a fall release through Prosthetic Records. The as of yet untitled album is the follow-up to 2008's "The Thin Line Between," and will be their sixth album, overall.
Vocalist Alex Leblanc comments: "Chris is an excellent producer. He's been a friend of mine for years, played in some bands with him and already worked with him in the studio on some other projects. He's also the most easy going guy around. Working with him is going to be a blast for sure.
We are almost done with the writing process for the new album; maybe one or two more songs to go. It's going to be a powerful album. Dark, vicious, catchy, technical, melodic; everything you can expect from a Neuraxis album with some unexpected twists. We have two more shows this weekend, then we will rehearse the new songs for a month, putting the final touches and get ready to shred in the studio. It's going to be a blast...We can't wait to play the new songs on the road for you guys."
The band's last shows before hitting Wildsound Studio are:
Apr 23 - Rimouski, QC @ Cactus
Apr 24 - Quebec, QC @ L'Agitee
The technical death metal outfit was founded in 1994. The band has done time on the road with bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Despised Icon, The Faceless and the 2008 Canadian Summer Slaughter Tour, with Necrophagist, Dying Fetus, Beneath the Massacre and more.
