WITHERED To Support EYEHATEGOD

Withered (2008) Atlanta's black doom kings, WITHERED, have been tapped to support the notorious EYEHATEGOD for a handful of shows in June. NACHTMYSTIUM also appear on most dates. The band had been off the road since last summer's "Blackened Fest," with MAYHEM, but in mid-March did a mini-tour to Texas, where they appeared at PROSTHETIC's official South By Southwest Showcase and a Brooklyn Vegan party in Austin, and Brofest in Dallas.

Guitarist/vocalist Mike Thompson commented on the March: "We had a couple of shows before and after SXSW. We stopped at "The Bar" in Metairie, LA on the way down. It was our first show since last August so we were very eager to perform. The show was great. The next day was SXSW then we headed down to San Antonio the next day. We were fortunate to meet up with our friends in Javelina & Howl. Great bands. The crowd was great despite being small. Then, we headed up to Dallas to play at Brofest. It was a mix between metal bands and indie rock on two stages. It was a great event and we received great crowd response. Overall, the entire trip was very successful. Well, outside of having to replace our trailer axle in Austin. We can't wait to get back out on the road, especially with new material."

The dates with EYEHATEGOD are:
6/3 Back Booth- Orlando, FL w/ EyeHateGod
6/4 Ground Zero- Spartanburg, SC #
6/5 Volume 11- Raleigh, NC #
6/8 The Muse- Nashville, TN #
# w/ EyeHateGod & Nachtmystium

WITHERED will be hitting the studio shortly to record the follow-up to their critically acclaimed Prosthetic debut, 2008's "Folie Circulaire," for an expected late 2010 release. As previously mentioned, the band appeared on the "Blackened Fest" in 2009 with MAYHEM, and also toured with WATAIN, MARDUK, and appeared at 2009's inaugural Scion Rock Fest, along with SKELETONWITCH, MASTODON, TORCHE, and more, as well as Maryland Death Fest. Stay tuned for more details.
