Cattle Decapitation announce new bassist

Cattle Decapitation (2008) CATTLE DECAPITATION has issued the following update:

"We are happy to announce we have found a bass player to handle all upcoming touring duties. Bassist Derek Engemann of Kansas' UNMERCIFUL will be handling bass duties on all upcoming tour dates. We jammed all weekend and are more than confident in his abilities and can't wait to hit the road with him. Prepare for annihilation!

We're pleased to announce that we'll be releasing a rarities compilation soon via Metal Blade Records. The collection appropriately titled, Medium Rarities, will feature tracks spanning Cattle Decapitation's career including never before heard songs, hard to find/out of print tracks, live material, cover tunes and ultra rare pre-Human Jerky tracks never before heard by fans of the band! Wes Benscoter will be handling the artwork, we've seen it and it is sick!

Vocalist Travis Ryan announces participation in grindcore supergroup MURDER CONSTRUCT. While playing shows in the Bay Area with IMPALED back in 2000, guitarist Leon DelMuerte asked Travis to do vocals for his group Murder Construct he was starting... 10 years later, the band is a reality! Murder Construct is a roots grindcore style five piece ala NAPALM DEATH and REPULSION with an experimental edge. The band features Leon DelMuerte(guitar/vocals - Impaled/Exhumed/Phobia/Intronaut), Danny Walker (drums - Exhumed/Intronaut/Phobia/Jesu), Kevin Bernier (guitar - Fetus Eaters/Watch Me Burn), Caleb Schneider (bass - Bad Acid Trip) and Travis Ryan (vocals - Cattle Decapitation). Due to the busy nature of the members with their other bands, shows will be scarce but will happen - first one ever being on March 27th at The Blvd in Boyle Heights in the Los Angeles area!

The band recently cut a seven song demo which will be mixed soon. In the meantime check out a couple rough demo tracks on their MySpace page."
