ALEXISONFIRE Ready Full US Headlining Tour This Spring

Ontario, Canada's Alexisonfire is currently gearing up for a full American headlining tour this Spring. Presale tickets will be available on February 17 at 3:00pm local time in each market, via http://tixx1.artistarena.com/alexisonfire. Fans purchasing their tickets in the presale will also have the option of upgrading to a VIP package for a total of $45, which includes their ticket, meet and greet with the band, early entry to the show, limited edition signed poster, and a laminate. Tickets go on sale to the public on February 20. The tour kicks off April 21 in Cleveland, OH, and will wrap up in Worcester, MA on May 23, after routing through the country and playing all major markets. Trash Talk, La Dispute, and Therefore I Am will each share the stage with them for all 27 dates.
The tour supports Alexisonfire's fourth and latest full-length, Old Crows/Young Cardinals (06/09, Vagrant), which debuted at #2 on the Top 200 Soundscan in Canada. Magnet Magazine included the album in their Top 10 Hard Rock Records of 2009, and Alternative Press readers voted Dallas Green one of the "Best Guitarists" for his work on the record. Metal Hammer describes it as "a dense and beautiful heavy rock album with as many hardcore influences as progressive ones, and a genuine grower: rewarding and utterly gripping." The album follows their 2006 Vagrant debut Crisis, which earned the band three nominations and a JUNO award for "Group Of The Year" in 2007. On February 16, Alexisonfire show their national pride by playing a free outdoor concert at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games on February 16. Shortly thereafter, the band heads to Australia to play on the main stage at the legendary Soundwave Festival alongside such bands as Faith No More, Jane's Addiction and Paramore. March sees them doing a highly anticipated tour across Canada with Against Me! and Billy Talent. Alexisonfire most recently traveled the US while playing the entire two months of the Vans Warped Tour last summer, each day drawing large crowds eager to experience the intense live show they're known for.
