Amazon removes bogus Lita Ford album reviews
SOURCE: Metalsludge.tv
MetalSludge poster 'waspwaspwasp' posted the following:
Amazon.com, music's largest retailer has pulled 124 potentially phoney 5 star reviews of Lita's latest CD "Wicked Wonderland" off of their customer ratings. This brings the overall number of reviews to a realistic 74, down from the fabricated figure of 198. This brings the star rating to a very kind 3 stars. Apparently all 124 reviews were from the same source and coincidentally all raved about Jim Gillette's vocals. This sort of "ballot stuffing" is illegal, as well as immoral.
the poster went on to state:
While looking for more on this subject, I stumbled upon this piece posted late last year.
I GOOGLED - LITA FORD SCANDAL and found this. Either this guy can see the future, or someone knew something, check it out.

As seen on Amazon's website, Reviews of the new Lita Ford CD 'Wicked Wonderland' have been varied, yet are amazingly frequent (156 since last count or appx 5 per day since album release).
For an album released on an unknown, unproven label - with little or no distribution support to garner such an unprecedented amount of supposedly 'unbiased' reviews is unheard of. Compare the review count to that of KISS or other Lita Ford Albums that have been on the market for all of Amazon's history to get a handle on the blatant disregard for Amazon's policies.
The reviews of this cd, and comments made concerning non-favorable reviews by these 'unknown' or otherwise obviously fabricated review accounts taint what is otherwise a good system to judge a products fit, form and function to those that may be interested in a purchase.
While the cd's musical quality and fan appeal does have some merit, this author feels Amazon and other major players in the online marketplace game should take a harder look into what they call 'unbiased' reviews, and try to enforce their posted policies against blatant self-promotion, underhanded marketing techniques and impostor accounts.
While certainly anyone can hide behind the anonymity of the internet to do (or learn of) whatever evil they wish, those that can recognize the patterns in the untruths and deceptive words of the pathological can and should stand for their rights to untainted information and helpful suggestions of those in the 'know'.
