Throwback Thursday: Acid Bath

Acid Bath Our latest made for twitter feature, Throwback Thursday brings us to New Orleans, Louisiana. Acid Bath was the merging of two bands, Dark Karnival which featured Audie Pitre and Sammy Pierre Duet (Goatwhore) and Golgatha which brought Dax Riggs,Tommy Viator, and Mike Sanchez to the band in 1991. Combining doom metal, death metal, blues, punk and stoner rock, the band had a completely original sound. Signed by Rotten Records, the band went on to release When the Kite String Pops in 1994, followed two years later by their second and final effort Paegan Terrorism Tactics. The band reached cult status with these albums among the underground metal scene and then came to an abrupt end in 1997 when bassist Audie Pitre was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver.
