CKY announces Summer tour
CKY are pleased to announce that they will be embarking on a full U.S. tour this summer. The band will play a run of dates in Canada from June 14 through June 28 and will then descend upon the lower 48 on June 29 in Seattle, Washington. The band will head to Europe for a handful of dates, including the Nass Festival in England, before returning to resume this domestic tour. CKY, known for having disciple-like fans who would follow the band into the depths of hell, will criss-cross the country, with the tour ending in their native region of Philadelphia on August 15.
The band's Roadrunner Records debut, Carver City, was released on May 19. The album's release was preceded by critical accolades from top publications such as Entertainment Weekly, which dubbed the album "...melodic with interesting production" and spotlighted Carver City's visually arresting cover art. Additionally, Alternative Press awarded the album a four-star rating and called out the band's "epic textures," "trademark guitar tone" and stated that the album was "full of "multiple standouts." Meanwhile, Revolver proclaimed that the band is "stronger than ever, with 11 potent, ambitious songs" and that Carver City is a worthwhile endeavor. The band recently shot a video for "A#1 Roller Rager," directed by MTV personality Bam Margera, which will premiere this Friday at www.roadrunnerrecords.com.
Opening acts ASG and Graveyard will support CKY on this US run. Pre-sale tickets include early entry and free download of "Hellions on Parade." Parties interested in pre-sale tickets can go here for more info.
