Slash sells his soul
American Idol has asked me to do the mentor bit for Rock Week""> In an apparent turn of face, Slash has posted on his Twitter account that he will be mentoring soulless contestants of this seasons American Idol. His post read "'American Idol' has asked me to do the mentor bit for 'Rock Week'" It isn't yet clear when Rock Week is, or why we should care, but with 5 weeks remaining and, time is running out.
If I recall, Slash recently stated something about American Idol-esque shows lacking integrity when asked why Velvet Revolver doesn't look for Scott Weiland's replacement with a reality show. "If we wanted to make a quick buck, that would be the way to go," Slash stated. "There's such a huge lack of integrity in that process, be it putting a band together or finding a relationship or finding a new best friend, whatever the premise is. It's just a cheap way of doing things and I don't think that you can actually find the individual or the character or the quality or whatever it is that's important."
