PUSCIFER ANNOUNCES LOS ANGELES DEBUT

Maynard James Keenan, long known as the eccentric and unpredictable singer of two of modern rock's most successful bands, Tool and A Perfect Circle, will bring the live incarnation of Puscifer to Los Angeles on Apr. 4 at Club Nokia.

A trio of inaugural performances this month at Las Vegas' The Pearl theater showcased the innovative evening of entertainment leaving attendees and critics hard-pressed to describe the mixture of improv, comedy and music. The Las Vegas Review Journal referred to the evening as, "A performance art spectacle equal parts comedy cabaret show, guerilla theater, lysergic animation sequences, Krautrock-inspired metallic jams and leering lunacy of various stripes, Puscifer's set seemed to take a cue from such disparate influences as Andy Kaufman, "Mr. Show," the Talking Heads, Bill Hicks, Tangerine Dream, Killing Joke and lots more." Spin said of the event, "Maynard James Keenan couldn't have picked a more perfect place to debut his Puscifer live show than Sin City. His performance -- a variety show featuring a revolving group of musicians and performers, complete with comedy skits both onstage and onscreen -- was pure Las Vegas."

In 1995, Keenan created Puscifer, a multifaceted, multimedia, multi-artist, and multi-personality project self-described as "a physical manifestation of the party that goes on in my head 24/7." The collective's debut, V is for Vagina, was released in 2007 and followed by a remix album (V is for Viagra) as well as several singles and videos featuring the curvaceous Queen B. A rotating cast of players involved in the recordings include Mat Mitchell, Tim Alexander, Jonny Polonsky, Danny Lohner, Gil and Rani Sharone, Lustmord, Laura Milligan, Milla Jovovich and Lisa Germano.

When asked what concertgoers should expect, Keenan gave his description "… a loosely organized bucket of Romper Room chaos sprinkled with Dry Wit and Brown Note Booty Bumping Sub Bins. And perhaps some snacks."
Tickets for Puscifer at Club Nokia are $49, plus any additional service fees. A limited number of Gold Circle tickets ($125) will be available with a private wine tasting featuring selections from Keenan's vineyard in Club Nokia's VIP Room. A handful of tickets will be sold for $295 and will include a signed bottle of wine from Keenan's vineyard as well as a pre-show meet & greet with Puscifer. Tickets go on-sale Friday, Feb. 27 at 10:00 a.m. pacific. Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets and at the Club Nokia box office.
