Tommy Lee's Helicopter Forced To Land By Police
Rocker Tommy Lee is tangled in a police investigation after officials forced his helicopter to land amid reports the aircraft was flying erratically.
The Motley Crue drummer, who was not piloting, was reportedly told to land at Los Angeles' Van Nuys airport at approximately 10:45am on Sunday after the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) alerted flight officials.
According to TMZ.com, law enforcement officials first noticed Lee's helicopter near Glendale, California, when it flew underneath and "too close" to a LAPD chopper.
Police reportedly went on a search for the pilot, who was found at a nearby hotel approximately 10 minutes after landing and taken into custody to issue a blood alcohol test after admitting he had been drinking.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is reportedly continuing investigations as WENN went to press.
