KORPIKLAANI announces album title
Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI have set "Karkelo" (English translation: "Party") as the title of their new album, tentatively due this summer via Nuclear Blast Records.
KORPIKLAANI will headline Pagan Fest America: Part II with Switzerland's ELUVEITIE, Ireland's PRIMORDIAL, Finland's MOONSORROW, Canada's BLACKGUARD (formerly known as PROFUGUS MORTIS) and New Jersey's own crazy pirate metal drunks SWASHBUCKLE.
The first confirmed dates so far are as follows:
Apr. 28 - The Opera House - Toronto, ON
Apr. 29 - Medley – Montreal, QC
Apr. 30 - Imperial - Quebec City, QC
May 01 - The Palladium - Worcester, MA
May 04 - Irving Plaza - New York, NY
May 07 - Chicago Powerfest - Chicago, IL
May 08 - The Lab - St. Paul, MN
KORPIKLAANI's latest CD, "Korven Kuningas", came out on March 21, 2008. The CD entered the album chart in the band's home country at position No. 16.
"Korven Kuningas" was released as a limited first edition with bonus tracks and on white colored vinyl. There is also a strictly limited digipak version (limited and numbered to 500 copies) which includes a drinking horn on a wall holder.
