NACHTMYSTIUM Issue Year End Wrap-Up; Prepare for Tour with The Haunted

Chicagoan blackened beasts NACHTMYSTIUM had an extremely successful 2008. The band released their Century Media debut, Assassins: Black Meddle Pt. 1, to extreme praise from critics and fans alike. The band received album of the year honors from Pitchfork's Show No Mercy column and the New York Times on top of being named to many 'Albums of the Year' lists including #2 in Decibel Magazine and Metal Maniacs as well as #6 in Revolver Magazine.

NACHTMYSTIUM also spent time out on the road with mighty acts such as Opeth, High on Fire, Nifelheim and Wolves in the Throne Room while also making their first ever trip to Norway to play the 2008 editions of Hole in the Sky and Gunfest. Now the band has returned home to Chicago and are working on material for a new album that looks to be ready for a late 2009 release.
