Job For A Cowboy recaps 2008

Job For A Cowboy Job For A Cowboy's Bobby Thompson has recapped 2008 for The Gauntlet

1. Did you have any 'Spinal Tap' moments this year?

-I've probably had about 50 this year. It usually happens when I consume a little too much alcohol before a show. The one that stands out is a show we played at a place called the Monkey Bar. I was a bit to intoxicated and my foot slipped off the monitor and went ass first into the edge of the stage then into the crowd.

2. What were some of your favorite releases from 2008?

-High on Fire's death is this communion is definitely one of my favorites of 2008. That record fuckin rules. Also, Meshuggahs Obzen blew my mind the first time I heard it. Probably one of the heaviest albums I've ever heard.

3. New Year's resolution?

-I'm planning on quitting smoking cigarettes in 09. I'm gonna have to wait until we get the new album done though. Gotta be realistic.

4. Plans for the holidays?

-I'm gonna enjoy the off time. We've had a pretty crazy year so it'll be nice to relax with the family and friends.

5. What's on your ipod?

-Well, I just had to upgrade to a bigger pod because mine was full. So my new one doesn't have a lot on it yet. The last thing that was listened to on my ipod was Big Business Here Comes the Waterworks.

6. What was the craziest fan you encountered? What made him/her so crazy?

-I don't really have any totally crazy fan stories. The only thing I can think of is this dude in Canada got a full sleeve of Genesis artwork tattood on his right arm.

7. If you could bring back one musician from the grave for a day, who and why?

-I would absolutely bring Jimi Hendrix back. His music is what inspired me to get into guitar. I would love to hear the crazy shit hed be playing if he was still alive.
