Ryan Clark of Demon Hunter recaps 2008
Ryan Hunter of Demon Hunter has checked in with The Gauntlet regarding 2008 and 2009.
1. Did you have any 'Spinal Tap' moments this year?
Not that I can remember. Although we did play a jazz odyssey set this Summer after Ethan (our guitar player) left. Kidding.
2. What were some of your favorite releases from 2008?
The Famine "The Raven And The Reaping," Scar Symmetry "Holographic Universe," Slipknot "All Hope Is Gone," Portishead "Third," Elbow "The Seldom Seen Kid," Bury Your Dead "S/T" among many others.
3. New Year's resolution?
Lose weight, of course.
4. Plans for the holidays?
Family time.
5. What's on your ipod?
80 gigs of music. Too much to narrow down.
6. What was the craziest fan you encountered? What made him/her so crazy?
A 50+ y/o lady in Houston told me that I should sing more because you can't hear the words when I scream, and people need to hear the message of Jesus, and then I'm pretty sure she purposefully put her hand on my butt when we took a picture. She was intoxicated. There have been crazier, but that's the first one that comes to mind.
7. If you could bring back one musician from the grave for a day, who and why?
Dimebag. No explanation necessary.
Demon Hunter recently released 45 Days via Solid State Records. You can check out the band at this location
