Murder by Death announces headlining tour

Fresh off the heels of their recently finished East Coast tour, Murder By Death is excited to announce a very special headlining tour to kick off at the beginning of February. The cross-country dates bring the band through many markets they missed recently. Murder by Death will be performing the complete two albums in their Desert Series, 2008's Red of Tooth and Claw and 2003's Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left of Them in sequence. The story begins with the anti-hero's younger days in Red of Tooth... and culminates in a battle between good and evil set within a small desert town in the album Who Will Survive... This 21-song set will also feature original keyboardist Vincent Edwards on piano and organ. Accompanying the show will be a program of the evenings set, as well as a large video projection at select shows. The Builders and the Butchers and Fake Problems will support Murder By Death.

MBD's fourth album and Vagrant debut, Red of Tooth and Claw (03/08), is rife with lust, betrayal, and classical archetypes of good and evil - as vocalist Adam Turla puts it, a "Homer's Odyssey of revenge, only without the honorable character at the center." Murder By Death also recently announced a special split 7" series in which they'll trade covers with other artists. The first 7" split with William Elliott Whitmore is now available.
