ARMORED SAINT announces Australian tour with DEATH ANGEL
Two of metal's most iconic bands come together for debut Australian tour! Death Angel and Armored Saint are icons of thrash and metal. They were there at the start and despite experiencing enough trials and tribulations that would put most bands out of commission forever, they are still powering away in metal's modern age.
Death Angel's 1987 debut album The Ultra Violence sold 40 000 copies in its first 4 months paving the way for the Thrash movement to hit the mainstream in a way that opened the floodgates for an entire genre to rise to the top of the musical food chain for the remainder of the decade.
The recent resurgence of thrash among so many of today's younger bands owes much of its popularity to the comebacks of the masters themselves! Death Angel's began in 2004 with their release of 'The Art Of Dying' after playing a cancer benefit show for Testament's Chuck Billy (another of thrash's biggest comeback stories) and continues with their thrashtastic 2008 effort, Killing Season.
Armored Saint are back in top form once more with the return of one of metal's most dynamic vocalists, John Bush after his time away fronting Anthrax. With John at the helm and the legendary bassist Joey Vera by his side, it's a very good time to be a fan of The Saint!
In 2009, both bands will head to Australia for the very first time in either of their careers to play for their fans across the entire nation! With both bands crossing the generational gap, this tour will see metal fans young and old come out to experience a night of thrash just like it was 1985!
Do not miss this!
