BOOK OF BLACK EARTH checks in from the road
Seattle's BOOK OF BLACK EARTH is currently enjoying the band's first tour in support of 'Horoskopus,' the band's Prosthetic Records debut, on the Black Metal Magic tour with headliners Watain and labelmates Withered.
"The road has treated us well," vocalist/guitarist T.J. Cowgill says. "We are making new friends, fans, and breaking hearts and bottles in every city we go. We have slept on floors, in dirt, in squats, we have cradled depravity in our road weary limbs. Every city we go we leave a trail of vomit and nightmares, while sonically reducing the inhabitants to piles of fleshless bones. Tomorrow is another day, another day on the road chasing the dragon and psychedelic warload standing on the edge of time."
BOOK OF BLACK EARTH consists of members of venerable metal underground band Teen Cthulhu, as well as drummer Joe Axler of Skarp, Splatterhouse, and Iamthethorn, among others. Having already released a self-financed demo in 2004 and a split release with underground legends Fall Of The Bastards in 2005, 2006's 'The Feast,' received praise from Decibel magazine, Terrorizer magazine, and the band's hometown newspaper, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
