Dr. Pepper Bosses Will Fulfill Promise If 'Chinese Democracy' Is Released In 2008
The upcoming release of Guns N' Roses long-awaited LP Chinese Democracy has sent bosses at soft drinks giant Dr Pepper scrambling for a refill after they promised to offer free soda to everyone in America if the band released the album by the end of 2008.
Back in April, the soda company told the New York Post they'd send everyone in the U.S. a can of Dr Pepper if the rock band released the album at any point in the year.
And now it appears the mythical album will hit record store shelves on November 23, bosses at the company insist they plan to follow-through on their promise.
A company spokesman tells Page Six, "If the rumors are true, we're putting the Dr Pepper on ice."
