ARKAEA signs with KOCH RECORDS

Metal band ARKAEA has joined KOCH Records' burgeoning hard rock/metal roster and will release its debut album on March 10, 2009.

ARKAEA features Fear Factory drummer Raymond Herrera and guitar player Christian Olde Wolbers, along with Threat Signal singer Jon Howard.

Jon Howard comments, "With the recent signing of ARKAEA to KOCH, and a release date of our debut album approaching in 2009, I couldn't be more ecstatic! We've progressed so much as a band in the past year, molding our musical styles together. I feel we've created something very original that I can be proud of for the rest of my life. I can't wait to see where this ride is headed."

KOCH Records VP of Metal Scott Givens weighs in, "I'm really pleased to be working again with Raymond and Christian on such an amazing project and that they have chosen KOCH to be its home. I've no doubt that when the record is finished everyone who hears it will be as blown away as I was when I first heard the demos."

The band has enlisted Threat Signal bass player, Pat Kavanaugh, and have just begun recording. Song titles include "Break The Silence," "Blackened Sky," "Beneath The Shades of Grey" and "Awakening." The album is being recorded at Temple Studios in Chatsworth, California, owned by Raymond Herrera and will have Christian Olde Wolbers at the helm of production with engineer Jeremy Blair (Guns & Roses, Fear Factory).

ARKAEA's album promises to be as pummeling as anything that the team of Olde Wolbers and Herrera has ever done.

You can sample music in store at ARKAEA's newly-launched Ning social site at http://arkaea.ning.com/ where fans will also be able to interact and connect with the members of ARKAEA through the chatroom, live webcasts and forums.
