The Number 12 Looks Like You enters the studio

Number Twelve Looks Like You, the THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU will be entering the studio this week to begin work on their third full-length release, and follow-up to their breakthrough 2007 disc, Mongrel. The Bergen County, NJ five-piece will be self-producing their next effort at Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ. The as-yet-untitled disc will be mixed by Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan) and is tentatively schedule for an early 2009 release on Eyeball Records.

"It's that time again! Time where the geese run wild in the open studio and the waves of music stir up another tsunami," says vocalist Jesse Korman. "That's right, we are back with a new musical roller coaster record that will be sure to harsh your mellow. We have crept outside of our box to write the MOST unlikely #12 collection yet. We are ready to have new riders journey the coaster with us and have our ever-so-loyal fans show them where to vomit."

Fans will likely get a chance to hear some of the new material when the band opens for Underoath on 9/2 at Irving Plaza in NYC, or during their upcoming week's jaunt with Senses Fail, Foxy Shazam, and Dance Gavin Dance starting October 8th.

In June The Number Twelve released their first ever DVD entitled, Here At The End of All Things. The live concert film was captured in the band's NJ backyard at School of Rock in Hackensack, NJ. In July, the band released an exclusive, limited pressing alien-green 7" called The Remixes through Hot Topic featuring two remixes that appear on the DVD's audio component.

"Mongrel fits its name – it's a dirty, vicious, mixed up beast of a project - quite spectacular" said Decibel Magazine while Alternative Press said Mongrel was "a blinding series of ultra-vertiginous, highly satisfying death/grind/noise/tech-metal shit fits that give new meaning to the phrase "quadraphonic sound." Go get this thing and figure it out for yourself." MTV's Headbangers Ball said, "When it comes to blending grindcore, progressive art-metal and screamo, there's no one quite like The Number Twelve Looks Like You."

The Number Twelve Looks Like You is: Jesse Korman (vocals), Justin Pedrick (vocals), Alexis Pareja (guitar), Chris Russell-Walker (bass) and Jon Karel (drums).
