Metallica: 'Film Proved We Were Egomaniacs'
Metallica stars Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield are pleased they starred in 2004 "rockumentary" Some Kind Of Monster - because it forced them to quit arguing with each other.
The rockers took part in the film which documented their fall out over their 2003 album St. Anger and almost saw them split. And Hetfield admits the film opened his eyes to his flaws - and made him vow to be less demanding.
He says, "We were frigging egomaniacs. We all had different character defects and it was good to see them on screen. I think it was more educational for us than for our fans. It was very therapeutic for us to put that out there."
