Top 10 bands that should release another album
OG Black Sabbath
Last album: "Never Say Die!" (1978)
Dio and crew are in the process of making a new album as Heaven and Hell, but the group that really needs a new recording is Ozzy-era Sabbath. It's been 30 years!
At the Gates
Last album: "Slaughter of the Soul" (1995)
They're doing the whole reunion tour thing, but how about a new album guys? Most likely a pipe dream.
Emperor
Last album: "Prometheus: The Discipline of Fire & Demise" (2001)
Aside from some absurdly expensive reunion shows, the band has been almost entirely inactive since their "breakup" in 2001. I'm sure they've still got it.
Immortal
Last album: "Sons of Northern Darkness" (2002)
Abbath and Demonaz have remained active together with side projects like I and Demonaz, which begs the question as to why they don't just put out another Immortal album instead? There are rumblings about a new album later this year.
Morbid Angel
Last album: "Heretic" (2003)
Morbid Angel are actually confirmed to be recording a new album with original vocalist David Vincent… I just can't wait any longer.
Carcass
Last album: "Swansong" (1996)
The reunion tour has proven that there is still a huge amount of interest in Carcass, so why not crank out a new album?
Possessed
Last album: "Beyond the Gates" (1986)
Original vocalist Jeff Becerra recruited a new crew under the Possessed banner, now lets have a new album!
Pestilence
Last album: "Spheres" (1993)
The Dutch death-metallers are back together and working on a new album for release in 2009!
Exhorder
Last album: "The Law" (1992)
They who influenced Pantera are back together as well and writing new material for release next year!
Dark Angel
Last album: "Time Does Not Heal" (1991)
Slayer gets all the credit, but Dark Angel were just as heavy during that time period. No signs of a reunion anytime in the near future, unfortunately.
