Trivium Co-Headline Tour with Alll That Remains
September marks the much-anticipated return to the road for metal behemoths Trivium and All That Remains. The bands will head out on a co-headlining six-week tour, alternating the closing slot. 36 Crazyfists and The Human Abstract will support, making for an evening of eclectic and uncompromising metal that will captivate audiences across the United States (see below for tour dates). Trivium's new album Shogun (Roadrunner Records) will hit the streets on September 30th, while All That Remains' new album Overcome (Prosthetic/Razor & Tie Entertainment) is due out on September 16th.
Trivium have sold nearly a million combined records worldwide since their 2005 debut, Ascendancy. They've continued to rise through the ranks of the American and European metal scenes. Their previous efforts have landed them multiple magazine covers across the globe in less than a year and they were picking up "Best New Band" award accolades almost everywhere they played. Intent on not delivering a 'part two' with their follow-up record, 2006's The Crusade took a slightly different direction, with cleaner singing and more varied influences. It retained their stunning signature guitar work and led to some enviable touring opportunities with bands such as Metallica and Iron Maiden. With Shogun, they are poised to please their legion of fans as well as capture new ones.
Released in July, 2006, All That Remains' last studio release, The Fall of Ideals, has sold over 175,000 units to date. Metal bible Kerrang said the album, "bears all the hallmarks of a classic…the musicianship is stunning… ruthlessly precise and powerful", while Metal Hammer stated, "Track after track, the band leave you breathless…" Since All That Remains' first album was released in 2002, the band has grown in leaps and bounds in every arena. They've gone from playing opening slots to headlining and selling out their own tours and playing major rock festivals domestically and abroad. The first single from The Fall of Ideals, "This Calling" could be heard all over the country on hard rock stations and the corresponding video could be seen on MTV and Fuse. The song also appeared in the major motion picture, "Saw 3." "Six," another track from the album is featured in the hit video game, "Guitar Hero 2."
The tour will be presented by Hooves, a shoe company that specializes in dark, conceptual, high quality hi-top sneakers that glorify all things metal. The line was launched by producer Nick Raskculinez, who manned the boards for Shogun, and Gravis Footwear, and featured a limited edition, blood-stained, pentagram lined shoe that quickly sold out. The full line kicks off in October 2008. Trivium, All That Remains and their tourmates are partnering up to bring metal music and culture to the forefront on this tour.
