Ashes to Ashes "put on ice" according to bassist

Ashes to Ashes Norwegian power metallers, Ashes to Ashes, are currently on hiatus after failing to release an album in several years. Bassist Björn Luna commented "I think the band has been put on ice. I haven't been involved in the band for a couple of years now. I have lost a bit of interest in the band as I have been so much into this [Chrome Division]. It seems like the other guys have been feeling the same way."

When asked what the holdup was, Luna replied "I think we wore ourselves out by spending so much time in the studio. It is really strange as the album is completed and we have a really good drummer [Ronny Kaasa]. It came to a point when we were all so exhausted and it became so expensive. We took a break and I focused on Chrome Division. I spoke with the guitarist [Michael Stenberg] the other day and we agreed that sometime this album has to come out as we have done so much work on it. We spent so much time and money on it and it sounds really cool."

Björn Luna is currently getting ready to release "Booze, Broads, and Beelzebub" in the US. The latest Chrome Division album will be released through Nuclear Blast records on Aug 19, 2008.
