New Slipknot Video Premieres on Friday
On July 18th at 8PM EST, the worldwide exclusive video premiere of Slipknot's "Psychosocial" will take place live on MTV's new Friday night series, FN MTV. Members of Slipknot will be on hand to introduce the video to the world. Directed by P.R. Brown and shot in Iowa, the video captures the band's transformation from their recent and controversial "purgatory" state to an evolved musical and visual force.
"Psychosocial" is the first single from Slipknot's highly anticipated fourth album All Hope Is Gone, set for release on Roadrunner Records on August 26th. In just two weeks after impacting rock and alternative radio, the single is being played on over 100 stations.
On July 9th, the band played their first gig together in over three years as headliners of the inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival. Sporting newly revealed masks and uniforms, the show was brutal and tight, laying waste to a crowd of over ten thousand. Live debuts of "Psychosocial" and "All Hope Is Gone" produced blistering fan reaction as if they were old favorites, once again cementing Slipknot's place as the most important force in hard rock and heavy metal.
Slipknot is a Grammy Award winning nine-man hard rock enigma hailing from Des Moines, IA. The band's previous studio albums, Slipknot, Iowa, Vol.3:(The Subliminal Verses) have all been certified platinum or better, as have their DVDs, Welcome to Our Neighborhood, Disasterpieces and Voliminal: Inside the Nine. The double live 9.0: Live holds a gold certification.
