Metal Diva: Gene Simmons
This weeks Metal Diva is Gene Simmons of KISS. In a recent interview, the KISS bassist commented on Radiohead's unique pricing structure. "The record industry is dead. It's six feet underground and unfortunately the fans have done this. They've decided to download and file share. There is no record industry around so we're going to wait until everybody settles down and becomes civilized. As soon as the record industry pops its head up we'll record new material." Gene has always portrayed himself as the cool dude in rock, yet his comments show his age and ignorance. Not only did Radiohead make a ton of money with it's 'user picks the price' offer, but many other unsigned acts have done so as well. Maybe the band should look at its last few albums and see who is really to blame for it's decline in sales.
