Finger Eleven's Paralyzer hits the All-Time top 20 on Digital Tracks Chart
Finger Eleven's lead single "Paralyzer," from the RIAA gold-certified THEM VS. YOU VS. ME, with cumulative single downloads of 2,202,102, has become the 19th best-selling download of all time according to Soundscan's RTD Digital Tracks chart. On the rock side, these sales position "Paralyzer" as number five in cumulative sales on the chart. Additionally, the song is approaching ringtone sales of 600,000. This album is the quintet's fourth for Wind-up Records, following their SELF TITLED (2003) RIAA gold-certified release, THE GREYEST OF BLUE SKIES (2000) and TIP (1998). Currently, the act's DVD title US VS. THEN VS. NOW (2008) is available exclusively at Best Buy. On receiving the news of this milestone, Finger Eleven's Rich Beddoe commented, "To have been told of this amazing news, it completely overwhelms me and the rest of the band. When we wrote this song, we never could have imagined how far it would take the band and just how many people would react to it. We are honored to be just a little part of musical history." Guitarist Rick Jackett added, "We love the fact that our music has reached so many people…to be in the top 20 of all time is definitely an honor."
Finger Eleven has partnered with Animoto, the web application that lets users easily create personalized music videos from their own photos and music, to let fans create their own Finger Eleven videos featuring the band's current single "I'll Keep Your Memory Vague," and four additional songs. Fans can upload their own photos, pick from the five Finger Eleven songs available, and Animoto will create a professional-quality video that can be shared through email, social networks, and YouTube™. Other Finger Eleven songs available include "Paralyzer," "Talking To The Walls," "One Thing," and "Falling On." Visit http://fingereleven.com/animoto/ to create a video.
"Using Animoto, fans of Finger Eleven can now create music videos from their photos in the same way that the band does," said Brad Jefferson, CEO of Animoto. "With Finger Eleven's powerful sound driving the visual energy of these Animoto videos, it's going to be thrilling to see the types of videos fans create and post to YouTube."
